Handmade quality

Our artists will render your photographs and selections into beautiful oil paintings, using only the finest paints and canvas. Each painting is completely hand created, relying solely on the artist’s technique with no use of any projective, transfer or computer aided techniques. Our artists specialize in realistic, life-like paintings from original photos.

Selecting Photographs

We recommend using professional photographs. If you would like to use a non-professional photo, please read this.

Before making an order

Please do the following first:

• Decide on a canvas size. One figure is usually vertical, two or more are done horizontal.
• Decide which pictorial elements are to be included (backgrounds, chairs, etc)
• Select head and shoulders, ½ body or full body pose.
• Specify additional subject(s) for group portrait. Two figures, for example, can be combined from separate photos.
• Think about specific comments regarding cropping, elements to be excluded/included, color changes, eye colors, background colors or anything not clearly visible in the photo.

We extend this guarantee only to users who follow our photo guidelines and provide high quality photos. 

If we do not receive a reply from you after 7 days of viewing the proof, we will then mail the portrait to your shipping address.

Changes and Additions or Deletions

Please take care to provide us detailed information in your initial request.  When requesting changes or additions in your original order, we will attempt every change that the artist feels is possible.   We can accommodate most changes with no extra cost.  Major changes or starting a new canvas may incur extra costs.  Read more about making a special request.

Sending photos:

We prefer digital photos, but also accept prints via mail. You can send any photo(s) using 3 methods:

• Web order form – Upload any scanned or digital photo stored on your computer using our web order form.

• Email – You can simply attach your photo to an email, and send it to: order @ ezportrait.com

Framing

Usage

If you would like us not to use your finished portrait or fine art painting in our sample gallery, please notify us.

Touch-Ups

It is very common for artists to do touch ups of a portrait. You may find small details like eye color, hair length or jewelry that need to be clarified.  We will touch up any area to your satisfaction.

Site Security

We outsource our transaction processing to companies specializing in secure payments.  ezPortrait.com does not receive, store or maintain a record of customer credit card numbers.  We provide the option of two secure trusted payment companies: 2checkout.com and Paypal.com 

50% Payment policy

A traditional practice in the industry has been to take a 50% deposit to begin the painting, and then receive the other 50% when the painting has been completed.  Because of the inefficiency of this process, coupled with our satisfaction guarantee, we request full payment before we begin your painting.  The practice of partial payment gives you the security of being able to withhold the remaining 50% if not satisfied.  We are able to offer you that same security through our satisfaction guarantee.
